Google feeds its employees well. Many of the employees at Google started work straight out of college. Probably the best book I've found on picking locks is the Gerry Finch Manual of Lock Picking, which unfortunately appears to be out of print as of this writing. Understanding the theory of lock picking is only a small part of being able to successfully pick locks. These locks are no more or less inherently secure than standard pin tumbler locks, although the external exposure of their pins makes picking them (and designing sophisticated picking tools for them) somewhat simpler. As the peaks hit the pin stacks, energy is transferred from the bottom pins to the top pins, much like the action of the cue ball in billiards. Although I'm very much a kubb novice, I can see just how enthralling this game must be for true devotees. This should not be on a continuous shot-by-shot basis that changes the nature of the game. When the last ball is pocketed, the game is ended.

Like many games dating back in history, the exact origin of this game is difficult to determine. What are the buildings and grounds like at the Googleplex? Google's workspaces may be appealing, but that's just scratching the surface of the perks at the Googleplex. Some of the perks can lead to undesirable consequences. ­­While the Googleplex doesn't actually have rivers of chocolate or gangs of Oompa Loompas wandering the campus, it does feature many amenities and perks that can entice potential employees to apply for a job. Each offers employees several choices for every meal. There are several cafés located throughout the campus, and employees can eat at any of them. Silicon Graphics created the digital dinosaurs in the film "Jurassic Park." A statue of a Tyrannosaurus Rex stands guard over the campus, perhaps as a nod to the area's previous inhabitants. Head over to the gym and hit the treadmill for half an hour.

Drafting is when Driver B tucks the nose of his car almost underneath the rear bumper of Driver A's car to improve air flow over both cars. In some games and for most break shots, placement of the cue ball may be restricted to the area behind the head string depending on the rules of the game, and then 6.10 Bad Cue Ball Placement and 6.11 Bad Play from Behind the Head String may apply. The reasons behind the design are eccentric as well. This design cuts down on much of the ambient noise inside the office. During the design phase, architect Clive Wilkinson faced a challenging problem: how do you group people together and still give them an environment in which they can concentrate on work without distractions? An architect named Clive Wilkinson of Clive Wilkinson Architects designed the workspaces in the Googleplex. Google has offices in several countries, so not all of those employees get to take advantage of the Googleplex -- only 8,000 or so work out of Mountain View. Google arranges the workstations so that groups of three to four employees who work together sit in the same area.

Employees can personalize their workstations as much as they like, and even bring dogs (but not cats) to work if they want to. Google executives want employees to be able to bounce ideas off each other. What if you feel your stomach growling in the middle of the afternoon, but don't want to trek out to a cafeteria? The king goes directly in the middle of the pitch, on the centerline. When the wrong ball is pocketed, then it’s called a "foul," and the player gets no points for pocketing it. For a called shot to count, the referee must be satisfied that the intended shot was made, so if there is any chance of confusion, e.g. with bank, combination and similar shots, the shooter should indicate the ball and pocket. This might include asking trusted witnesses, reviewing video tapes, what is billiards or reenacting the shot. The referee should be careful to inspect and announce the status of any object ball that might be frozen to a cushion and the cue ball when it might be frozen to a ball.
